The meeting on April 7th was held at Bill Covington’s Shop in Rock Hill. Bill’s Skills are top
notch, and he teaches in a wonderful way that is well suited to all skill levels of all those
attending. From the novice woodworker to the most advanced craftsman everyone can gain from Bill’s
knowledge.
This month Bill taught on the subject of “Finishes”. He was kind enough to share with us his
formulas for custom making your own finishes. We all learned how to make many of the very finishes
that are commonly found on the shelves at the stores we often purchase from. He made a number of
finishes as we all watched and learned. Most of those attending were surprised to learn that we
could make the same finishes we purchase for pennies on the dollar.
